Support roles

From a Marketing Executive within the Marketing team, Publishing Administrator in one of our product groups or a design whiz within our Studio - we have an array of roles for which you don't necessarily need a physics degree in order to develop your career at IOP Publishing. What follows are examples of some of the support roles we can offer.

Marketing Executive

The Marketing Executive has responsibility for advising stakeholders on marketing strategy for their portfolio of products, including selecting marketing channels and activities that will successfully fulfil campaign and product objectives. You'll be responsible for making day to day decisions about how campaigns will be executed and keeping them within agreed budgets, as well as setting project deadlines and maintaining a steady workflow. Your actions will be key to the growth and maintenance of the business in terms of both editorial and revenue generation.

Publishing Administrator

Our reputation for excellent service to our authors and referees means that we are able to attract and retain top authors, and this is critical to the future success of IOP's journal business. As the primary point of contact for authors and referees, you'll be at the front line in delivering this service. Administering one or more journal titles, you'll drive through the publication process from receipt to publication and beyond.

Electronic Products Services Specialist

The Electronic Products Services Specialist acts as the first point of contact for all customers using the online products and services offered by IOP Journals. This includes providing support to our internal customers, including senior management, who will require assistance, information or data related to these services. Central to this role will be the timely and effective resolution of all customer enquiries as well as the occasional assistance with the testing of new product developments
