As a Finance Assistant (Payments) you will be responsible for administering key banking routines and procedures, helping the business to maintain, control and report banking and cash flow activities.

This is a customer facing role, dealing with suppliers and individuals who receive payments. This role is responsible for processing bank account transactions; scheduling payment authorisation; cash management and cash handling; bank reconciliations; query resolution; maintaining online banking systems and preparation and analysis of reports for management information.

This role will require you to assimilate information from different systems, members of the team and staff around the business to ensure that all payments and receipts are properly processed and allocated.

The ideal candidate will possess the following;

Knowledge

  • Graduate calibre
  • Finance qualifications (e.g. AAT) preferable but not essential

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of using finance systems, preferably ERP
  • Taking ownership and development of processes
  • Proactive initiation of change
  • Experience of working with and supporting multi-site locations
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Advanced excel skills
