    We are seeking an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills in the area of scientific research and academic publishing.

    As Production Assistant, you’ll be supporting the Production department in the publication of our products in a timely and efficient manner, also contributing to improving the quality of our content and author service. Working as part of a team you’ll undertake tasks such as proofreading and correction and will manage final content publication to our online platform, working on multiple products across different workflows. You’ll also monitor the quality performance and schedule adherence of our third-party Production suppliers, taking effective action to address issues as they arise and provide constructive and effective feedback. You will be proactive in contributing to identifying where current department processes can be improved and in demonstrating innovative thinking that helps identify continuous improvement opportunities. 

About you:

Successful applicants will possess, or demonstrate:

  • Awareness of editorial skills and an aptitude for dealing with language and style. 
  • Good computer skills and numeracy.  
  • Effective communication and organizational skills with an ability to plan and balance priorities. 
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail. 
  • Able to work on own initiative, and flexibly as part of a team. 
  • Good technical skills with an aptitude for HTML, XML, digital file management and online publication.  
  • Professional attitude and diligent approach.
