The role:

The Financial Accountant is a key support to the Senior Accountant in the efficient running of the Banking and Treasury team. This role is responsible for the implementation and development of revenue banking controls, overseeing bank reconciliations and providing insight into the group cashflow and banking related costs.  Whilst this is not a line management position, they will support and mentor junior members of the team and will be the main contact in the absence of the Senior Accountant.

We’re looking for a collaborative individual who will work seamlessly across Finance to ensure processes and controls are efficient and effective. The successful candidate will have an analytical mind and experience of preparing analysis on costs and cash flow as well as reconciliations.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Experience of financial accounting including responsibility for accounting and reconciliation
  • Demonstrable experience of developing strong relationships with stakeholders outside finance
  • Good experience of finance system preferably ERP
  • Strong Excel skills – comfortable with lookups, pivot tables, sumifs
  • Effective communicator both verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • An instinct for continuous improvements of processes
  • Self-motivated with well-developed organisational and planning skills
