As a Credit Controller you will own your ledgers and be effective collecting the debt efficiently. This is a customer facing role and supports authors in paying their invoices. It therefore requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with customers across the globe. The Credit Control team works closely with other teams across Finance and the wider company.
Continuous improvement is at the heart of everything we do. This means we collaborate across teams to ensure our processes are aligned and we can give the best service possible to our customers. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you will be encouraged to suggest new, initiative ways to reduce aged debt and improve the efficiencies of the department.
The credit control team uses specific debt management software to facilitate efficient collections. This role would suit an individual adept at getting the most out of this software to drive results.
Likewise, good Excel skills are essential for reporting on debt.
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:
- A levels or equivalent
Knowledge & previous experience
- Proven track record as a Credit Controller
- Experience of developing relationships across the whole organisation and influencing the debt collection processes
- Knowledge and experience of Finance and debt collection systems
- Experience of working with foreign currency transactions
